The Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) was established through Jammu & Kashmir Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University Act No. XVI of 2002 and is named after revered saint Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah. The School of Engineering and Technology (SoET) is an important constituent of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University and was established in the year 2007 with a solo mission of serving the nation and society. The school offers technical education in various branches of Engineering and Technology. The school has a rich legacy of serving nation and society through excellence in teaching and high quality research which is instrumental in producing technocrats shining in various national and international arenas. The dynamic approach followed on curriculum based on the demand of industry continuously evolve students to attain the level of competence as per the requirements of industry. The faculty members and supporting staff being expert in their domain materialise the integration of technical knowledge and practical implementation through modern teaching methodologies and state of art laboratories. The knowledge domain of faculty is constantly rejuvenated through active participation in national and international conferences, workshops and faculty development programs etc. and the faculty enriched with latest technology plays a pivotal role in knowledge dissemination among students. The testimony of research culture prevalent in the School of Engineering and Technology is evident from number of patents, quality research papers in reputed journals, on-going extra mural projects and collaborative research in various branches of Engineering and Technology.

The students are invited to experience a journey culminating with accomplishment of dreams by joining the prestigious institute in lap of mountainous terrain of Pir-Panjaal range.
